The Director Flight Support is responsible for leading and managing the Flight Support Department, ensuring safe, in compliance, and efficient support to Norwegian flight operations.
This includes oversight of Aircraft Performance, EFB, Navigation, Flight Operations Engineering, and Aircraft Library functions. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration to drive operational excellence and innovation.

In this role you will be responsible for:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership to the Flight Support Department.
- Manage departmental activities, including budgeting, resource allocation, and contractual matters.
- Ensure optimal use of departmental resources in a safe, effective, and compliant manner.
- Lead and develop teams across Performance, EFB, Navigation, Flight Ops Engineering, and Aircraft Library.
- Oversee the quality and accuracy of reports to the Authorities including, but not limited to, ETS, RefuelEU and Traffic reports.
- Represent the AOC in meetings with aviation authorities, airport operators, and external stakeholders.
- Responsible for having maintained and updated department manuals and documentation in accordance with regulatory and operational requirements.
- Participate and/or allocate resources for risk assessments, safety investigations and quality audits.
- Participate in and lead special projects as assigned by NPFO.
- Drive digitalization, process optimization, and harmonization across the Flight Support domain.
- Develop and update department KPIs that support Flight Operations and Company strategy
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and high performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including EASA, national authorities, OEMs, and service providers.
You are our ideal candidate if:
- Holder of a master's degree (or equivalent), preferably with a specialization in aviation or engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in airline operations or flight support roles.
- Proven leadership and team management experience, including remote and cross-functional teams.
- Strong knowledge of civil aviation regulations and standards (EASA, FAA, ICAO).
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, contracts, and strategic initiatives.
- Experience in process improvement, digital transformation, and operational efficiency.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
