Senior Procurement Specialist

Connector Subsea Solutions are seeking a highly experienced Senior Procurement Specialist to oversee and optimize procurement activities for our subsea oil and gas operations in Norway. Responsibility for leading the supply chain function within CSS, ensuring the implementation of effective sourcing and procurement strategies, procedures, and routines. This role is critical to maintaining an optimized procurement operation and securing a qualified supply base capable of meeting all contractual obligations.

Contributes to strategic decision-making and cross-functional collaboration to support business goals.

Responsibilities & Tasks:

• Execute sourcing activities for subsea equipment, services, and materials, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery targets are met in accordance with Company ISO Management Systems.
  
• Manage supplier negotiations, contract development, and performance monitoring.
  
• Collaborate with engineering, project management, and finance teams to forecast procurement needs and budgets in project execution in both Norway and the United Kingdom.
  
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project requirements and corporate objectives.
  
• Ensure compliance with Norwegian laws, international standards, and company policies.
  
• Performance of Supplier Audits to support the Approved Vendor List (AVL).
  
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes and systems.
  
• Monitor market trends and risks and adjust procurement strategies accordingly.
• Support sales in tendering processes and contribute to bid evaluations and supplier selection.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  
• Minimum 8–10 years of procurement experience, preferably in subsea or offshore oil & gas in an international environment.
  
• Proven track record in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
  
• Strong understanding of Norwegian and International procurement regulations and offshore standards (e.g., NORSOK, ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 27001).
  
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Business Central), planning and procurement tools.
  
• Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
  
• Fluency in English; Norwegian language skills are a strong advantage.
