Are you looking for an opportunity to be at the heart of crew operations? At OSM Thome Norway, we are currently seeking (1) Crew Manager to join our team in Arendal. In this role, you will work closely with the crew, vessels, customers, and teams to ensure smooth sailing every step of the way. You will report to the Crew Operations General Manager, and collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals. Additionally, you will be responsible for the performance of the day-to-day activities towards the crew, vessels budget, cost of operation, eCrew data quality, system data quality, operational KPIs, and ensuring compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Communication with customers, vessels, and additional parties related to the vessels assigned

• Responsible for the entire crew operations towards assigned customer(s) and customer’s vessel(s)

• Follow up crew planning procedures and inform all parties involved as per OSM Thome Policies

• Ensure vessels submit Crew Appraisal Report for all personnel. Purpose crewmembers for promotion/demotion etc., in cooperation with the vessel’s Management and following the Customers’ requirements

• Be responsible for the contracts and finance/budget preparations, and follow-up Union agreements

• Start-up and follow-up on reports in OSM’s Improvement Reporting Information System (IRIS)

• Ensuring that incoming and outgoing invoices are promptly monitored, followed up, and approved according to the process

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and/or documented experience from equivalent employment within the shipping industry

• Good IT skills and knowledge

• Strong English proficiency in both written and verbal
