Here is your chance to become part of the Large Projects Organization where you will collaborate on multiple projects. You will oversee the end-to-end flow from Engineering solutions to Fulfillment, in coordination with the Commercial Teams in the markets to ensure high quality customer experience.

As Design Engineer you will conceive and execute structural solutions in complex offshore projects. The role is based in Klepp, Rogaland, Norway and reports to Engineering Team Leads.

Scope of responsibilities:

• Design components and structures to meet project criteria, fabrication guidelines and prefabrication requirements

• Create structural calculation models to validate and optimise structural systems

• Prepare engineering outputs, including but not limited to technical drawings, 3D models and engineering reports

• Participate actively in engineering coordination events, to improve and assure constructability and accessibility of the structural systems

• Estimate, plan and track performance of engineering tasks for continuous improvement

• Interact, visit and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and its representatives

• Stay abreast of technological advancements and industry trends and building codes to continuously improve performance

About you

You are a structural engineer (MSc degree is a plus) or similar with a passion for sustainable solutions.

The right candidate will demonstrate good communication ability, attention to detail and good spoken and written English. You are familiar and curious about:

• Steel Structure Design

• Local, distortional, and global buckling modes

• Limit States and Plastic analysis of structures

• Working with cold-formed sections in Class 4

• Finite element analysis: beam, shell, and solid elements; (one is required, two are preferred, three is a bonus)

• Coding (VBA and python preferred, other languages accepted)

• Structural rules, codes, and regulations
