About the role

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our team in Tønsberg.
In this position, you will take the lead in delivering complex fire and gas detection projects for the maritime markets worldwide. You will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with the high quality that Autronica is known for. Acting as the customer’s key point of contact, you’ll execute projects by interacting with your core team, consisted of project engineers, project coordinator, and document controller, mainly located in Tønsberg. In addition, you will have close cooperation with our Korea and China team members.

Responsibilities

As a Project Manager you will:

• Lead delivery projects of fire and gas systems from planning to completion – ensuring quality, on-time delivery, cost control, and customer satisfaction.

• Manage project finances, timely updating the cost estimates, revenue forecasts, invoice plans, securing margins and contributing to profitable project executions.

• Coordinate project teams, distribute tasks effectively, and ensure optimal information flow internally and externally.

• Act as the customer’s focal point, ensuring professional communication and smooth project execution.

• Oversee documentation, logistics, and conduct final handover to end-customer / Autronica’s Service & Aftermarket department.

• Ensure compliance with HSE and quality requirements according to company standards.

• Collaborate with sales during pre-project and bid phases, negotiate variation orders with customer during the project execution.

Who you are

You are a strong communicator and natural leader who thrives on delivering results through teamwork and collaboration. You combine structure and attention to detail with resilience and a positive mindset. You are comfortable taking responsibility and initiative, even in challenging situations.

Qualifications:

• Background from engineering (electronics, electrical, instrumentation) ideally within maritime or energy projects.

• Earlier experience as project manager.

• Understanding of regulations for delivery projects of fire and gas alarm systems is an advantage but not a hard requirement.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to get results through others.

• Experience with project financials, project planning tools, and Microsoft Office package.

• Fluent in English, written and spoken. Norwegian is an advantage.
