As a Group Business Controller, you will report to the Head of Business Control & Performance and work closely with the Business Controller team to drive insights and improvements. Your main area of responsibility will be Developing Markets, which includes Sweden, Finland, and Denmark. You will identify opportunities for process optimization and cost efficiency, and estimate the potential gains from various improvement initiatives. Success in this role involves ?unraveling the numbers,? extracting the right data, and analyzing impacts and correlations. It also requires seeing the bigger picture, such as how automated processes and digitalization can improve results, routines, and customer experience.
Your work will form the basis for valuable discussions within the management team. Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and improve financial control systems to ensure accurate and reliable reporting, in line with laws and internal policies.
- Lead financial analysis to improve efficiency and profitability and provide clear recommendations to management.
- Prepare and present monthly financial reports, including variance analysis and explanations of key figures.
- Support forecasting processes in close cooperation with business units, ensuring quality and follow-up.
- Track financial performance against KPIs, identify deviations, and suggest improvement actions.
- Work closely with accounting, IT, and business units to ensure consistent and accurate financial data.
- Help improve business intelligence tools to enhance communication of financial results internally and externally.
- Take part in strategic and operational projects within the Group Business Controlling team, including system and process improvements.
- Act as a financial advisor to management, contributing insights to strategic decisions.
- Ensure Business Review materials are updated and well-structured and support responsible colleagues in delivering high-quality reporting.
Your Qualifications:
- Master's degree in economics, finance, or auditing
- 3-6 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, accounting, or financial control
- Experience from the debt collection industry is an advantage
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders
- Experience with budgeting and forecasting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead complex analyses and provide recommendations to senior management
- Solid IT competence and understanding of data-driven business management. Experience with Power BI is an advantage
- Strong English skills, both written and spoken, with good presentation abilities
