SNARLIG OPPSTART I LANGVARIG VIKARIAT (1 år)

Job tasks:

• Design, implement, and test modern C++ software for hand-held medical ultrasound applications on macOS, iOS, and Android

• Write software that is robust, well documented, maintainable, and extensible, both for new developments and when extending or changing existing code

• Write software that is testable and well covered with unit tests 

Areas also possible that may be covered by the position:

• Mobile-application development targeting iOS and Android, both using the Qt framework and native APIs (Objective C++ and Java, respectively) where necessary

• Implementation of GUI-based features based on graphically-defined requirements

• Design and implementation of SDK features that allow ultrasound data access and acquisition control

• Development of highly-accelerated stress tests (HAST), automated integration testing of outward-facing interfaces

Education:

Degree in computer science or a STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) with advanced experience. Lack of a formal degree can sometimes be compensated for with relevant experience.

Experience:

• Advanced experience with modern C++ (C++11 and later)

• Experience in designing and implementing complex software systems

• Experience with unit testing

• Solid understanding of modern software-development practices, such as version control (e.g. git), code review, pull-request workflows

Languageskills: Proficient in English (Norwegian language is not a must)
