Job Summary
REV Ocean seeks a strategic and results-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial management of REV Ocean AS
and support the owners company Rosellinis Four-10 Inc. with budgetary and reporting assistance. Reporting directly to the CEO of both organizations, the CFO will oversee all finance and accounting functions, ensuring robust financial strategies, regulatory compliance, effective resource allocation and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.
This role requires a seasoned financial leader with proven experience in complex, multi-entity environments, ideally within non-profits or mission-driven organizations. The CFO will play a pivotal role in financial planning, risk management, and process optimization, while mentoring finance staff and collaborating with senior leadership to drive operational excellence and long-term sustainability. Based at our Fornebu office, the successful candidate will bring international experience, analytical rigor, strategic foresight, and a passion for making a global impact.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic and Commercial Leadership
Develop the commercial strategy for REV Ocean, including financial business plans, forecasts and tax strategies.
Identification of major business opportunities and management of processes to respond, leading on major funding and other strategic relationships where appropriate.
Participate in key decisions as a member of the management team such as the company's future direction, strategy plan and supporting tactical initiatives.
Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction.
Deputize for the CEO and other Executive members as appropriate and agreed.
Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile.
Responsible for the Finance department, including management of any third parties to which accounting or finance functions have been outsourced.
Oversee the issuance of financial information and report financial results to the Board of Directors and Management Team.
Accounting, budget and control functions
Maintain all accounting systems and functions, ensuring appropriate internal controls and financial procedures (development and monitoring of budgets, coordinate audits and proper filing of tax returns, managing cash
flow planning, investments, and assets).
Prepare and communicate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry.
Utilize predictive models and financial analyses to provide insights into the organization's operations and business plans.
Maintain relations with external auditors and banking relationships and investigate their findings and recommendations.
Desired Qualifications
Master's degree in accounting, finance, or a relevant discipline.
Over 10 years of progressive financial management and accounting experience, including at least three years as a CFO or equivalent
Experience in a senior financial-management role, working with executive staff to develop and implement creative financial management strategies.
Proficiency with finance and accounting software.
Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Passion for the ocean and wanting to make a positive impact.
