Lead a skilled engineering team in a high-tech environment?
Are you ready to lead a skilled engineering team in a high-tech production environment?
We are looking for a structured and motivated Team Lead to take on both technical and personnel responsibility for a cross-functional team developing next-generation products and systems for the defence sector.
You will lead a group of engineers within a specific product area, coordinating their work, fostering collaboration, and supporting their professional growth. In this key role, you’ll work closely with the Project Manager to ensure that technical solutions and deliveries meet both customer and company expectations, and you will hold a central position with significant influence.
Due to a reorganization of the engineering department, this is a newly established leadership role. You will therefore have the opportunity to build and develop your own product group within a defined area of expertise.
Key responsibilities:
Lead and develop a cross-functional engineering team
Ensure progress, quality, and delivery in product development projects
Contribute to the strategic development of the product group
Personnel responsibility, including follow-up, development discussions, and competence building
Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and other technical departments
Contribute to continuous improvement of work processes and methodologies
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in technology or management (relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal education)
Experience from a production environment and/or technical project work
Leadership experience is an advantage, but not a requirement – we value a strong interest in leadership and people development
Strong collaboration skills, a structured work style, and the ability to inspire and engage others
Solution-oriented, structured, and with solid technical understanding
Location:
Our office is located in Nøtterøy until summer 2026, after which we will move to newly renovated premises in Skoppum – both in Vestfold, Norway.
We also have offices in Oslo, at Solli.
We offer:
We offer a hybrid work model with flexible working hours. As our colleague, you will be part of a culture characterized by agility and innovation. Our mission is to develop and deliver systems to our allied military users that enhance protection and precision. We encourage responsibility and trust, and we value ownership of projects and tasks. Our employees particularly appreciate working in cross-functional teams with colleagues from across the organization. You will have opportunities for continuous personal and professional development.
Feel free to contact us for more information about the position.
We look forward to receiving your application.
