Are you a procurement professional with a passion for international trade and a keen eye for quality materials? Zurhaar As consisting of 2 separate business units as 1) a leading provider of modular structures for events, industry, and logistics world wide and 2) a Commercial Real Estate company, is excited to announce an opening for the position of International Purchase Manager. We are seeking a dynamic individual to oversee and optimize the sourcing of direct material (e.g., steel, alu and fabric) and as a second priority address sourcing of indirect material across the group fabric buildings.
Fabric Buildings branded as RubbHall and O.B.Wiik hall is renowned for designing and manufacturing versatile, high-performance tent systems and temporary buildings. Our products are used worldwide by clients in construction, sports, exhibitions, warehousing, military defence and emergency relief. With manufacturing sites and suppliers across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, we pride ourselves on delivering innovative solutions that meet the most demanding standards for safety, durability, and sustainability.
Position Overview
As International Purchase Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing and procurement of direct materials—steel, aluminium, and PVC fabric—that form the backbone of our structures. Your role is critical to ensuring the integrity, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery of projects and products. You will report directly to the Group CEO and collaborate with engineering, sales, finance, and logistics teams to align purchasing activities with strategic business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement global procurement strategies for steel, aluminium, and PVC fabric, ensuring optimal quality, price, and delivery timelines.
Execute strategic sourcing initiatives across multiple continents, negotiating long term supply contracts and framework agreements.
Spend and market analysis, monitor commodity pricing trends, and stay abreast of industry developments to inform purchasing decisions.
Manage supplier relationships, including performance reviews, audits, compliance checks, and resolution of disputes.
Coordinate with OpCos and technical teams to ensure that material specifications and certifications meet regulatory and client requirements.
Work closely with production planning and logistics to maintain inventory levels and avoid supply bottlenecks.
Prepare regular reports for senior management outlining procurement performance, risks, and recommendations for strategic sourcing.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is an advantage.
Some experience in international procurement, preferably in the construction, manufacturing, or architecture building sectors.
Proven track record of successful strategic sourcing work, preferably with focus on direct material within industrial production in a global context. Experience from sourcing steel and aluminium considered as a strong positive aspect.
Strong negotiation, contract management, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and intercultural skills; fluency in English required, additional languages are a plus.
Demonstrated experience with ERP systems, purchasing software, and supply chain optimization tools.
Ability to travel internationally for supplier audits, strategic sourcing initiatives across OpCos, trade fairs, and industry events.
