You may have worked closely with a skilled CFO, are well-versed in hands-on financial work, and ready for the next step with more responsibility. In this role, you’ll need to switch between strategic tasks and operational work.
We are in an exciting growth phase, delivering in multiple European markets simultaneously. The work you’ll take on will be essential in a major initiative focused on increasing revenue and profitability, while maintaining our ability to develop new and better technology.
Responsibilities
Develop profitable revenue models, agreements and support closing of scalable opportunities
Actively take part in business negotiations, ensuring that agreements made create a long-term financial positive revenue for GRIN. As the CFO you should have a clear ownership to all business models offered, and engage in close work with the commercial team to ensure profitable models and agreements are offered and agreed upon on a running basis.
Ensure control of finances and demonstrate excellence in forecasts and models
Ensure all financial models used in forecasting, bank, soft and investment funding processes provide a state-of-the art understanding to internal, and external stakeholders such as owners, investors, banks and relevant partners.
Work proactively to optimize working capital
As a hardware and software company, capex production control, and optimization is extremely important to ensure the ability to deliver whilst not running out of capital. Identifying areas to improve with vendors, banks, internal and external procurement processes will create a more competitive and efficient company.
As the CFO you are expected to work closely with technical and commercial teams to ensure that production costs, production logistics, invoicing and agreements with vendors and customers are fine-tuned to avoid scalability issues and to promote a healthy working capital.
Fundraising and fundraising strategy
As a part of your role you will work closely with the CEO on fundraising and develop the fundraising strategy. It will be expected that you can run fundraising processes independently.
Administration
Report to the board, in addition to preparing and summarizing board meetings, and ensure all papers are documented according to legal frameworks.
Ensure that GRIN financial administration and systems adhere to Norwegian and relevant international law.
As the CFO, you will oversee financial reporting in close collaboration with our internal finance team and external partners, including auditors and accountants.
You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality reporting standards and will guide our financial resources in preparing accurate and compliant reports for EU-funded projects, Skattefunn, and other soft funding initiativesAs the CFO in GRIN you are:

Aspiring to the CFO role – you have reported to skilled CFOs and are ready to take the next step. Previous experience as a CFO is not necessary, but you thrive with the responsibility.
Able to combine theoretical work in models and forecasts, with practical and strategic work tasks. You can switch from setting up detailed analysis to help creating the big picture and long term strategic decisions.
Skilled at developing financial models, preparing sufficient documentation and being responsible for the accuracy our financial reporting.
You like to compete and find the challenge of building a market leading company motivating.
Key qualifications:
6+ years of business experience as a minimum
5 years of relevant business or finance education
Relevant experience from a tech-company. Preferably having gone from low to high income and growth experience.
Experience with all regulatory reports and respective deadlines required for an unlisten tech company in Norway, delivering services to Europe.
Experience with personnel management is beneficial
Experience from administrative board work is an advantage.
Language: Norwegian and English
