About Siemens Mobility
Siemens Mobility is undergoing rapid development and growth, where through our technology, expertise and solutions we will make it easier and more attractive to choose public transport and contribute to smarter and more efficient mobility in society. Trains and public transport play a crucial role in the green shift, and Siemens Mobility is committed to being an important contributor to increased capacity and punctuality in public transport. Our mission "Transform mobility for everyone" is driven by the desire to create a sustainable future by offering digital and forward-looking solutions that truly change everyday life for both our customers and all travelers.
Our contribution to society:
We work closely with some of the largest players in railway infrastructure (Bane NOR) and public transport (Sporveien) in Norway. Among other things, we deliver a completely new digital signaling system for the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) railway and for the Oslo metro, Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC), ensuring that thousands of passengers can travel safely, easily and efficiently by public transport every day.
Shape the Future of Oslo’s Metro
Are you an experienced contract professional who thrives on making big projects succeed? Do you have an eye for detail and a passion for infrastructure that makes a real difference? We’re looking for a dedicated Contract Manager to join our team and help drive one of Europe’s most exciting public transport upgrades.
As part of the CBTC (Communications-Based Train Control) project, you’ll be at the heart of a large-scale international effort to modernize Oslo’s metro system. This multi-year initiative spans Germany and Norway and will completely transform how people move through the city — faster, safer, and smarter.
With the first upgraded line set to go live in October 2025, major milestones through 2027, and full project completion by 2029, this is your chance to make a lasting impact. You'll be working on a complex, cross-border contract that covers everything from fleet retrofitting and advanced communications to cloud-based technologies and system integration.
What You’ll Be Doing
As Contract Manager, you will be part of the Company’s legal team and report directly to the General Counsel. In the project, the Contract Manager reports to the Project Director of the CBTC. Contract Manager is a designated role within the CBTC implementation project, which includes extended and regular engagement with the customer to support project delivery and alignment.
Your core responsibilities include:
Managing contract changes, variations, and claims, including supporting negotiations and coordinating internal processes.
Providing clear contractual guidance to the project team and collaborating with procurement, finance, and project management functions.
Contributing to contract management strategi based on customer requirements, company guidelines, and project timelines—covering risk, pricing, scope, and schedule.
Contract Management and communications with suppliers, subcontractors, and partners to support project goals and comply with internal policies.
What We’re Looking For
A team player that enjoys working in an interdisciplinary and international team. An interest in and curiosity about technology is an advantage.
Comfortable with writing contractual letters and producing contractual arguments in writing.
Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills, with a practical approach to problem-solving.
Good communication and stakeholder management abilities, with attention to detail and analytical thinking.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant experience may substitute formal education.
5 years + of experience in contract or commercial management, preferably within large infrastructure, railway, or technology projects, with strong understanding of industry standards (e.g., NTK, NS).
While English is primary working language, Norwegian language skills are a strong plus—especially when interacting with clients. If you can switch seamlessly between both, you’ll have an edge!
