Early Years Teacher (Pedagogical Leader)

We are pleased to announce that we are expanding the number of children enrolled in our Barnehage. This growth follows recent changes in legislation, which now allow for increased capacity. As a result, we are currently seeking qualified and passionate teachers to join our early childhood education team.

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Early Years Teacher to join our Reggio Emilia-inspired program for children aged 1-2. As Pedagogical Leader, you will design and deliver inquiry-based, child-centered learning experiences that nurture creativity, curiosity, and independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop emergent, play-based curriculum aligned with Reggio Emilia principles

• Create engaging indoor and outdoor learning environments

• Observe, document, and reflect on children's learning

• Collaborate with teachers and teaching assistants as part of a strong, respectful team

• Build strong partnerships with families and maintain regular communication

• Support children’s social-emotional development using positive guidance strategies

• Engage in ongoing professional learning

Qualifications

• Qualified as a pedagogical leader in Norway

• Experience with or strong understanding of the Reggio Emilia approach

• Familiarity with the Norwegian Barnehage Framework

• Strong teamwork, communication, and documentation skills

• Passion for child-led learning and inquiry

• Comfort with digital tools for documentation and parent engagement
