R&D Engineer

Interwell P&A is currently seeking a R&D Engineer.

This is a unique opportunity to join a focused development team with high expertise and a multidisciplinary approach.

Interwells RockSolid™ is a groundbreaking new technology for the decommissioning of oil and gas wells. An energetic material is delivered via a container to a specified depth in the well, where it is then activated. At a temperature exceeding 3500ºC, it melts the entire cross-section of the well, creating a permanent gas-tight barrier. This technology saves the industry significant resources while reducing environmental emissions.

Do you have the right knowledge, skills, and passion to help take RockSolid™ to the next level?

Main Activities & Responsibilities:

• Participate in the planning and execution of interdisciplinary research and development projects

• Plan and participate in conceptual R&D, FAT and design validation testing

• Contribute to risk assessments, FMECAs, design reviews and other key design processes

• Prepare technical documentation in connection with testing

• Communicate with, support, and collaborate with engineers and technicians

• Support design and operational team through prototype development, field trials and commercialization

• Transfer results and know-how from research to practical use

• Understand and apply fundamental technical principles, practices, and procedures

• Act as an informed team member providing analysis of information and project direction input

• Use combination of experience and analysis to solve problems

Qualifications:

• BSc in engineering or practical discipline (or equivalent)

• Minimum 3 years experience

• Broad interdisciplinary technical knowledge

• Good written & oral English

• Adept at technical communication
