As part of the development of our international activities, we are recruiting a Chief Accountant M/F to strengthen our financial team in Sweden.

YOUR FUTURE TEAM

You will join the Finance Department of the Marine & Overseas Division, working under the supervision of the Finance Manager , to ensure accurate and timely accounting operations for our projects in Sweden.

The STEGRA project, located in Boden, Sweden, involves the construction of a green steel mill and an electrolysis plant, powered by renewable electricity and water from the Lule River. The goal is to produce 5 million tonnes of high-quality green steel by 2030. The work includes:

• Water Treatment Plant (WT2)

• Hydrogen Manufacturing Plant (HMP)

This plant, powered by renewable electricity and water from the Lule River, will produce the green hydrogen needed to manufacture green steel and will supply 5 million tonnes of high-quality green steel by 2030. Boden's location provides access to abundant hydroelectric power and suitable logistics infrastructure.

YOUR MAIN MISSIONS

• Lead the accounting operations for our Swedish activities, ensuring compliance with local accounting and tax standards.

• Supervise monthly and annual closings, balance sheet preparation, and statutory reporting.

• Coordinate with local auditors and tax authorities.

• Monitor cash flows and liaise with treasury teams.

• Support operational teams on financial procedures and cost allocation.

• Implement process improvements to strengthen internal controls.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.

• 5-10 years of experience as Chief Accountant or Senior Accountant.

• With a proven professional background in Scandinavia (Norway, Sweden, Denmark, or Finland) to ensure full knowledge of local accounting and tax regulations.

• Proficient in Swedish accounting standards and tax obligations.

• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Swedish is a strong asset.

• Rigorous, autonomous, and capable of managing priorities in a multicultural environment.
