VIKING Norway holds Viking’s largest competence center for Project Management and Documentation Control, providing these services globally to the Oil & Gas and Defense & Professional segments.

In addition, VIKING Norway has a team of brilliant engineers and one of Vikings main engineering and production facilities, specializing in advanced free-fall lifeboat systems, evacuation systems, fast rescue craft and fast patrol vessels.

In total VIKING Norway has approximately 330 employees.

We are now looking for two experienced Project Managers to complement our team - one position based in our Bergen Office, and one located in Arendal.

About the positions

Our Project Managers are mandated to be the single point of contact towards customers during project executions and to cooperate closely with all involved internal departments within VIKING in order to meet our customers’ requirements.

Your primary responsibilities and tasks will include:

• Planning and executing project management for your assigned projects

• Acting as the primary point of contact for the customer during project execution

• Ensuring all contract requirements are met through active cooperation with internal and external resources, while driving the project forward

• Control change management and costs during project execution

• Following-up on production status towards production units

• Reporting project progress to the assigned Project Steering Committee

Qualifications & Personal Attributes

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree - relevant experience may compensate for formal education

• Relevant and solid experience in project management and planning

• Evolved business understanding

• Technically capable, with the ability to understand our products and understand connected technical challenges and mitigations

• Experience within Maritime, Oil and Gas or Defense industries

• Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

• Responsible, committed and organized personality

• Culturally sensitive and globally oriented

• Able to travel when required

• Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in a Scandinavian language is an advantage.
