KSAT Hyper seeks Project Manager!

About Hyper

Hyper is a strategic initiative by KSAT (Kongsberg Satellite Services), focused on building a hybrid space-ground communications system. By integrating a LEO-based data relay constellation with KSAT's trusted global ground station network, Hyper is enabling real-time, continuous connectivity for satellites and spacecraft — supporting next-generation applications in Earth observation, climate monitoring, defense, and commercial space.

Hyper manages multiple technical development efforts across flight, ground, and network domains. This role is dedicated to managing one of those initiatives: a critical technology development project focused on maturing a scalable, integrated satellite connectivity system.

Your Role

As Project Manager, you will lead the execution of this specific development project within Hyper. You'll coordinate internal teams and external partners to ensure technical alignment, timely delivery, and strong cross-functional execution — from early requirements through architecture definition and design readiness.

You'll serve as the central point for planning, coordination, milestone tracking, and external reporting for this development stream — operating with a high level of autonomy while maintaining close alignment with Hyper leadership and KSAT's broader strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of a technology development project within Hyper

• Own the integrated project plan, schedule, risk register, and stakeholder coordination

• Coordinate input across payload, systems, software, ground segment, and commercial teams

• Ensure progress toward major reviews (e.g., SRR, architectural baseline, PDR readiness)

• Interface with key suppliers and subcontractors to track delivery and resolve blockers

• Work closely with KSAT Legal and Compliance to ensure export control and regulatory alignment

• Coordinate with institutional partners, when applicable, to meet reporting and compliance requirements

• Track technical documentation and ensure consistency across deliverables

• Report progress, risks, and alignment status to the General Manager and internal stakeholders

Qualifications

• Must be a European citizen (EU or NATO member state)

• Must be eligible for NATO Secret clearance

• 5+ years of experience managing space, aerospace, or complex technical projects

• Familiarity with space mission development lifecycles (especially Phases A-C)

• Strong project management skills: scheduling, documentation, issue resolution, and risk management

• Experience with ESA, EU, or other institutional space programs is a strong advantage

• Degree in engineering, systems engineering, aerospace, or a related technical field

• PMP, IPMA, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is a plus
