Ready to lead our Combination Carrier Fleet?

OSM Thome is seeking a Fleet Manager to lead our Combination Carrier Fleet based in our Oslo office. As a Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and development of the department and the operation of combination carriers within the company. You will play a key role in executing company strategy, ensuring safety, operational quality, and cost efficiency across the fleet. Additionally, this role is ideal for someone with a solid technical background, proven leadership skills, and a passion for maritime operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all activities related to the operation of combination carriers in OSM Thome

• Ensure vessel operate in compliance with class, flag state, and charterer requirements

• Maintain a strong relationship with vessel owners and charterers, ensuring high-quality service delivery

• Oversee maintenance plans and vessel budgets, dry-dockings, and insurance claims.

• Collaborate closely with Vessel Managers to ensure timely resolution of class conditions and technical issues

• Drive HSEQ performance and ensure safety and environmental compliance are top priorities

• Develop departmental competence and promote a motivated, effective, and cost-optimal organization

• Communicate key events and updates to internal stakeholders, clients, and regulatory areas

Qualifications:

• Background as a marine engineer or experience in a similar role as a Vessel Manager/Superintendent

• Alternatively, Higher education in marine technology or engineering (MSc/BSc) with relevant experience in technical ship management

• Experience with vessel types, preferably combination carriers

• Solid understanding of business administration, shipping economics, and crewing

• Proficient in English (written and verbal)

• Proficient in relevant IT systems and maintenance platforms
