This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in sales, project logistics, and business development!
Your primary goal is to drive business development within project logistics. You will be responsible for identifying new customers and developing your own customer portfolio, as well as creating business strategies and ensuring alignment with our logistics services across our business units. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the customer’s experience with us—and can make it even better. You will act as a sparring partner for the customer, finding the best logistics solutions to meet their needs. Your day-to-day will vary between customer visits, preparing offers, attending trade shows/sales events, and collaborating with your colleagues at Kuehne+Nagel in Norway and around the world
How you create impactIdentify new customers and develop your own customer portfolio
Implement and continuously improve strategies, customer account plans, and maintain a pipeline to gain market share. Achieve assigned sales budgets and targets.
Provide a clear value proposition to customers by leveraging our competitive advantages. Build a strong network with external key stakeholders.
Collaborate and engage with internal stakeholders. Ensure that operational handling requirements and customer expectations are understood and communicated internally to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Lead customer management, participate in customer onboarding, implement standard operating procedures (SOP/KPI), and prepare and conduct quarterly business reviews (QBR)
Bachelor’s degree: Typically, in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
Experience: 3–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the logistics or freight forwarding industry.
Knowledge of EPC projects (engineering, procurement, and construction) in sectors such as oil and gas, power generation, or infrastructure.
Problem solver: Strong problem-solving skills to tackle challenges and find effective solutions.
