We are now recruiting for a position within our development department. As a database developer, you will be working with our extensive range of cloud-based databases and data structures. The systems include various fit for purpose database technologies and handles data in all categories from ERP/financial to big data global vessel tracking services where ERP/financial will be the main responsibility.

As a database developer in NAVTOR, you will be joining an international team of highly talented people with passionate interest in software design.

What You'll be doing:

• Architectural design for NAVTORs databases and data models

• Development and maintenance of ERP and BackOffice databases

• Software development as part of a SCRUM team following agreed work backlogs

• Research into new technologies that might benefit NAVTORs customers

• Participation on technical conferences, seminars and training sessions

• Participate in continuous process redesign to build a high performing culture

What we're looking for:

• 5-7+ year experience with database development in MS SQL Server

• Strong passion for database design and development

• Experience with building and optimizing relational databases

• Well experienced with design, development and maintenance of MS SQL Server databases

• Well experienced with stored procedures as business layer

• Well experienced with SQL query optimization, views, indexes, profiling

• Experience with other database technologies is a plus

• Basic programming of C#, .NET Core is a plus

• Well traversed in SCRUM and DevOps based workflows

• Dedicated adherence to project goals and deadlines

• Ability to work well with the team in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent organizational and structural skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy 

• Curious about technology and a fast learner

• Speak and write English fluently                

Education

• Relevant education at university level or equivalent
