We're Hiring Network & Cybersecurity Engineer – Flexible Location

Marlink is a global leader in maritime hybrid connectivity solutions. We design and operate secure networks combining satellite, LTE/5G, SD-WAN, and cloud-based services for some of the world’s most demanding industries – including maritime, energy, and humanitarian aid.

Now, we’re strengthening our team with a new engineer who are passionate about networking and cybersecurity. The job title is flexible – what matters are your skills.

What You'll Do

• Design, secure, and optimize complex network solutions for global customers
• Create reference configurations and templates for standard products and customized POC designs
• Work closely with Product Management as a technical resource to design and develop new products
• Work on internal R&D, customizations, testing and validation in our labs
• Participate in technical projects with internal teams, customers, and vendors
• Perform changes, upgrades, and troubleshooting on live customer networks
• Document solutions and processes clearly for internal use and external handovers

What You Bring

We're looking for people with a solid foundation in networking and a keen interest – or proven experience – in cybersecurity. You don’t need to tick every box, but experience in several of these areas will help.We also welcome candidates with less experience, provided they are motivated to learn and grow their skills rapidly.

• Cybersecurity fundamentals: threat modeling, risk analysis, mitigation strategies
• Firewalls and Security Platforms: Fortinet (NSE), Cisco, intrusion detection/prevention
• Networking: IP routing, switching, VPNs, network segmentation, access control
• Cyber tools & platforms: security monitoring, vulnerability scanning, SIEM solutions
• Infrastructure: SD-WAN, VLANs, LTE/5G, WiFi, PBX/VoIP
• Virtualization & Cloud: Proxmox, VMware, Hyper-V, cloud security, automation/scripting (Python, PowerShell)
• Certifications: Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet NSE, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent

Eik Teleport is the primary Maritime hub in Marlink, the Teleport is located in Lund municipality, Rogaland Fylke, Norway and currently employs about 90 people. Eik Teleport is situated 13 km from Moi, the administrative center in Lund municipality.
