We are looking for a dedicated and experience Search and Rescue Manager to lead and strengthen our SAR operations.
We are looking for a dedicated and experience Search and Rescue Manager to lead and strengthen our SAR operations. This key leadership position involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining high safety and performance standards. You will work closely with the Flight Operations Manager and Chief Pilot SAR to align operational strategies and improve performance. Strong collaboration with customers.
Responsibilities, but not limited to:
Act as the primary contact for SAR customers and maintain consistent follow-up.
Collaborate with other rescue services and authorities.
Lead and manage SAR personnel, ensuring a motivated and qualified team
Supervise the company's SAR operations, ensuring they are conducted in accordance with documentation and obtained approvals.
Operate a solid organization with sufficient and qualified resources and apply continuous risk management processes for all SAR flight operations activities.
Ensure that all SAR crew members are licensed according to EASA regulations for flight crew.
Monitor the budget and cost control for SAR.
Collaborate with CAA-N in SAR matters.
Participate in meetings in the Operations Department, with customers, and the Safety Action Group Operations (SAG Ops if CP SAR is not present).
Maintain the necessary knowledge level of national and international aviation regulations.
Establish oversight systems to ensure that each SAR flight is planned and executed in accordance with relevant and approved manuals.
Be responsible for changes and revisions of OM A Spec Ops.
Be familiar with the company's emergency plans.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of EASA regulations and national regulations (BSL)
At least 3 years of experience in search and rescue services offshore, military, or civilian.
Leadership experience with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
Good ability to communicate and collaborate.
Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.
Prerequisites:
Approval from the police required for the issuance of Avinor ID card for airport areas.
Acceptance by the Civil Aviation Authority as a SAR (Search and Rescue) manager after employment.
Successful completion of the GSK course to be able to travel offshore after employment.
