Underwriter, Skuld Hull

We are further strengthening our team in Skuld Hull and are looking for an experienced Underwriter to join our team in Oslo or Bergen.

As a Hull Underwriter in Skuld, you will be part of a world leading marine insurance provider where service and competence is key. Responsibilities

This job role includes management of your own portfolio of business within the Skuld Hull team, in conjunction with the Skuld global team.

In this position you will:

• Actively seek business opportunities and market Skuld and our products externally to Members, Clients and Brokers
• Respond to enquiries relating to covers and the extent thereof
• Handle ancillary and additional covers (assessing premium and performing risk analysis)
• Draft quotations and handle renewals
• Be updated and gather knowledge about assigned market area of responsibility
• Update databases with entries, issuing statistics, lists and various other reports
• Assist in-house with issues relating to covers
• Work in compliance with current policies, instructions and guidelines in Skuld

Qualifications and experience

• Higher education and at least 7 years of relevant work experience within H&M-P&I

• Ability to coach more junior colleagues

• Excellent English communication skills - verbal and written

• Ability to present and facilitate both towards members, clients, brokers and internally within Skuld
