As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner, NES Advantage is now looking for a: Senior Buyer (Norfolk Vanguard West HVDC project).

Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution.

What will you be doing?

• Be the Package Responsible Buyer for bulk packages

• Prepare and develop procurement strategies

• Sourcing and pre-qualification of potential suppliers

• Prepare and issue enquiries and perform bid evaluations

• Negotiate contracts and purchase orders

• Ensure timely deliveries in accordance with budget and schedule

• Ensure that all activities are performed according to procedures

• Follow-up, control and report progress on contracts

• Report and manage risks

• Develop and maintain supplier relations

Qualifications we think you should have:

• Bachelor or Master within business and/or engineering

• At least five years of experience with project procurement

• Solid experienced with procurement/sales of bulk materials

• Good technical understanding and commercial skills

• Understanding of customer needs and good negotiation skills

• Able to work independently on less complex tasks

• Software Skills: MS Office, MIPS, Proarc PEM

• Fluent in English, written and spoken

Work location: Fornebu (Oslo), Norway.
Contract duration: August 2026 with option for extension
