Automation & Electrical Engineer

Contract period: 6  month contract, starting mid-August, with possibility for extension
Location: Ulsteinvik or Ålesund, candidate must be available for site work in Ulsteinvik during specific project phases.

Main tasks

• Create, maintain and develop control system design and documentation 

• Develop, test and troubleshoot PLC systems

• Integrate hardware and software components to create cohesive solutions

• Conduct thorough testing and verification to ensure they meet performance and safety requirements.

• Support customers and internal stakeholders

• Support and take lead in complex problem solving 

 
Qualifications

• A minimum of bachelor’s degree in the field of Electrical, Software or Automation engineering 

• Experience in designing electrical and automation systems

• Experience in CoDesys and PLC programming

• Experience with configuration of variable speed drives

• Experience with fieldbus and industrial ethernet communication protocols i.e. CanOpen and Profinet

• Experience in EPlan or other Ecad tool is considered as an advantage 

• Previous experience in maritime business is considered as an advantage

• Strong communication skills in English are required
