We are seeking an HR Manager Norway - Arendal

As our current HR Manager in Norway steps into a new role within the company, we are now looking for a dedicated successor to join our team.
In this key role, you’ll be responsible for managing and developing our local HR function in Norway, ensuring alignment with local laws and policies, and promoting our strong company culture rooted in safety, quality, and people-first values, across all the sites in Norway.

About the role
As HR Manager Norway, you’ll be responsible for all HR activities in Norway. You’ll work closely with local management and the HR Director for Northern Europe to ensure compliance, consistency, and culture across our Norwegian sites.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong HR generalist expertise, a deep understanding of Norwegian labor law, and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Travel to our various locations in Norway must be expected.
Key Responsibilities:
Full ownership of all HR operations, employee relations, and labor compliance within the country
Responsible for recruitment, onboarding and offboarding processes in alignment with global processes
Manage employee relations cases and act as first point of contact for employees and managers
Leading local HR team (2 employees)
Lead and support managers in performance management and annual people processes
Implement and localize global/regional HR policies and initiatives
Handle compensation and benefits administration at the country level
Cooperation with trade unions and manage collective labor relations
Foster an inclusive, compliant, and engaging work culture
Support Leadership agenda incl. Leadership Principles training and knowledge in the country
Your background
To succeed in this role, you are a seasoned HR professional who thrives in a dynamic and international environment.
You have very good communication skills, and we expect you to be proactive, dynamic and results oriented with the ability to create strong cross-functional collaborations - both internally and externally.
The prerequisites for success in the position are:
Relevant higher education at a bachelor’s or master’s level (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in a senior HR role, ideally within an international, industrial, or maritime context.
Strong command of Norwegian labor law, collective agreements and HR best practices.
Experience in end-to-end HR operations, including benefits and employee lifecycle
Excellent interpersonal, advisory, and communication skills.
Structured, proactive, and hands-on with a strong sense of integrity and responsibility.
Fluent in both Norwegian and English
