Manager Feed Technology Plant

We are looking for a dedicated Plant Manager to lead our Feed Technology Plant (FTP) — a pilot facility located in Stavanger, where all Skretting research diets are produced. In this role, you will work closely with process operators, technicians, and researchers.

This is a role for someone who values strong teamwork, open communication, and continuous improvement. The position requires strong leadership skills, a focus on safety and operational efficiency, and the ability to adapt and develop tailored solutions, as each research project is unique.

As Manager, you will oversee the team's day-to-day activities and ensure that resources are effectively allocated to support operational goals. You will also focus on developing team capabilities through ongoing support and training. While your main collaboration will be within Skretting Aquaculture Innovation at all levels, the role also involves significant interaction with Skretting factories around the world, external companies and governmental authorities.

Main Responsibilities:

• Ensure a safe working environment; responsible for implementing relevant HSE policies and initiatives

• Lead and motivate employees, including responsibility for training and development

• Ensure quality of service and execution of daily operations, including maintenance and Capex planning

• Manage budgets and financial resources

• Identify and remove operational bottlenecks

• Personnel responsibility

• Continuously improve processes and systems using lean principles

• Oversee the execution of research projects at the plant

• Ensure compliance with legal requirements; act as the main contact point for governmental institutions

• Represent the station to both internal and external visitors

Required competence and qualifications:

• Proven leadership experience

• Experience in industrial production; preferably with higher education in a relevant field

• Strong technical understanding and a hands-on, responsible mindset

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Structured, solution-oriented, and proactive mindset

• Fluency in Norwegian and English, both spoken and written
