What you’ll do

Vimond seeks a skilled and talented front-end developer to strengthen our product development team. You will be a pivotal technical leader within the team responsible for developing end-user applications in Vimond Essentials, contributing significantly with hands-on coding and architectural guidance. Vimond Essentials is an award-winning product suite that is used by media professionals all over the world to manage, organise, and publish streaming content on a number of devices. It is engraved in our DNA to be passionate about giving the users of our systems a good experience when interacting with our UIs. This focus puts us one step ahead of our competitors; the tools we create are what our customers work with every day.

How people consume video content is constantly changing; thus, the tools for making content available are also evolving. We are proud to be early adopters of new technology, tools, and trends, and we expect you to keep up to date on what is going on in your field and actively contribute to driving Vimond Essentials forward. You will be working with highly skilled technical people who have end-to-end responsibility for their own part of the Vimond Essentials product portfolio. You will also be expected to contribute to further developing shared UI components in the company.

Responsibilities

• Drive the technical direction and development of end-user applications within Vimond Essentials, acting as a key hands-on contributor

• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, setting a high standard for the team

• Actively mentor and guide fellow developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing

• Ensure compliance with and actively contribute to design guidelines and the overall design direction

• Take ownership of designing, developing, and maintaining products that are simple, useful, and highly usable

• Proactively identify and implement improvements to processes, tools, and code quality

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant education. Experience and skills can compensate for formal education.

• More than 5 years of experience

• Proficiency  with  a modern JavaScript framework such as React and React Native

Other beneficial qualifications

• Experience working with video players and other streaming technologies

• Experience writing applications for iOS, Android, tvOS and Android TV

• Experience working with AWS or other cloud services

• Experience working with Node.js-based services or serverless functions

• Experience with or strong interest in utilising AI-powered development tools such as Cursor, Claude AI, or Copilot to improve code quality and efficiency
