VACANT POSITION OFFSHORE

Saipem Drilling Norway AS is searching for a Rig Electrician for our drilling rig SSDR "Scarabeo 8".  The tasks and qualification requirements are as follows;

The tasks include the following;

• Become familiar with all electrical systems, panels, associated electrical equipment, SCR control systems, EO systems, and all electrical instrumentation.
• Maintain, in accordance with the planned preventive maintenance system, all electrical systems, panels, associated electrical equipment, SCR control systems and all electrical instrumentation including high/low voltage and DC systems.
• Be aware of all classification societies and governmental rules and regulations that apply to their area of responsibility.
• Take all necessary safety measures when working on electrical systems, ensuring that the systems are properly isolated from the main panel, and that circuit breakers are locked, and warning signs are strategically placed.
• Ensure that all reporting procedures and routines are followed and that all paperwork is handled timely and correctly.
• Maintain the workshop, tools, and all other work areas in a clean and tidy manner at all times. Participate in safety meetings and safety drills held on board.
• Keep maintenance logs and prepare reports regarding the electrical installations.

The following experience/qualifications are required;

Ship Electrician - electrician with maritime module

• High voltage and EX
• Familiarity/experience with equipment from NOV, ABB VFD Panels and Kongsberg Automation systems
• Experience from operation of DP3 rig/Ship
