Lab Engineer

We’re now looking for a detail-oriented and hands-on Lab Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and technicians — at our Bergen location.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development, testing, and calibration of geophysical sensors and subsea systems.
- Design and maintain test setups, including pressure tanks, thermal chambers, and signal simulators.
- Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis on electronic and mechanical components.
- Assist in prototype assembly, system integration, and performance verification.
- Maintain laboratory documentation standards, safety procedures, and equipment inventory.
- Collaborate closely with the Geoscience, R&D, Engineering, and field teams to ensure robust product quality and reliability.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in a lab or R&D environment, preferably with sensors or instrumentation.
Skills:
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Fluent in English.
Experience and Knowledge
- Proficient with electronics testing tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, signal generators, multimeters).
- Experience with mechanical assembly and precision instrumentation.
- Familiarity with data acquisition systems, embedded hardware and sensor calibration.
