Technical Support Engineer

The 1st Line Support role acts as the first technical point of contact for our customers, with a strong focus on coordination, communication, and ownership of support tickets. While technically grounded, the role is primarily about managing incoming requests, ensuring structured follow-up, and preparing handovers to the service department when field engineers are required. The position plays a key role in delivering an efficient, high-quality customer experience.
Key responsibilities
- Take full ownership of support tickets: intake, assessment, follow-up, and resolution or escalation
- Coordinate with customers and internal teams, ensuring clear and proactive communication
- Perform initial technical evaluations to determine appropriate next steps
- Prepare work instructions and technical input for the service department when on-site service is needed
- Participate in 24/7 support rotation, ensuring reliable customer assistance outside regular hours
- Monitor and follow up on ongoing cases to ensure progress in line with SLAs
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (Service, Engineering, Sales Support) to maintain alignment and deliver consistent service
Qualifications
- Education in engineering, technical disciplines, or logistics/shipping operations – either at Bachelor level or through vocational training (fagbrev) combined with relevant experience
- Experience with technical coordination, customer support, or service/logistics planning is a strong advantage
- Familiarity with maritime fishing and offshore systems/equipment is beneficial
- Ability to manage multiple support cases simultaneously and communicate effectively across departments
