Here is your chance to become part of the New Energies Team where you will define and specify new business opportunities. As a Business Developer, your primary objective will be to strategically build and expand relationships with complex clients across the value chain, with focus in Norway. Your objetive will be to engage and support key players in the industry addressing their specific needs and challenges and connect with our value proposition. You will work with external stakeholders compounding segment expertise on Hydrogen, Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage, Ammonia and Power-to-X project specific applications to increase the understanding of the segment dynamics, applications and engineering requirements.
This role includes collaborating internally with the PMO to develop specifics for projects at a design phase collaborating closely with the Engineering, CPMs, Segment Managers and BD Communities, all to drive a profitable growth across the Segment.
Key responsibilities are:
· Strategic Sales Approach: Develop and implement account partnership through standardization, project specifications, sales development (direct or indirect) and relationship management at several levels with a view to increasing Hilti/Øglænd's share of wallet
Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company’s footprint in the New Energies market
Customer Engagement: Establish and maintain strong relationships with Owners, Operators, EPCs, and contractors to understand their needs and project requirements
Technical Consultation: Provide technical and commercial support, collaborating with internal teams to deliver solutions tailored to customer needs
About you
Communication skills to create trust through active listening, influencing without authority, negotiation skills
Long-term strategic thinking to explain and transmit the targets & strategy to customers, peers and management
Able to influence internal and external stakeholders around the strategy while understanding external stakeholders' pain points and trends to adjust it if need be
Self-driven and working autonomously create his/her own planning and tasks to reach the targets
Product and application knowledge to be able to address the 80/20 of customer questions in confidence and without requiring the support of back-office functions
Identify, understand and deliver high level system selling value proposition; sell a solution and a product
