Our subcontracting purchasers represent our company towards some of the most business-critical, strategic, external manufacturing partners. They are working closely with our engineering department, internal customers and project managers, to exceed customers’ expectations.

Material planning and strong support from other sourcing colleagues is vital to their success. We expect all purchasers to have a strong business mindset and negotiating skills. Contractual business law understanding to minimize risk is also crucial.

This is what you will be doing as a Subcontracting Purchaser at HMH:

• Be a role model for quality, integrity, and HSSE culture.

• Work according to governing HMH policies and procedures.

• Negotiate quotes with suppliers.

• Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers.

• Support in establishment of project – delivery plans
  Place PO’s.

• Coordinate technical clarifications between engineering and external manufacturing partners.

• Coordinate test activities, Inspection and Test Plans (ITP).

This is the skillset you must bring to the team:

• Relevant commercial/financial education from an accredited university or college.

• Minimum 5 years of experience from complex international procurement

• Strong business mindset.

• Good communication, cooperation and negotiation skills.

• Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
