About the Role
As Head of EU Office you will be responsible for positioning Nammo within the EU political landscape in Brussels, especially in relation to emerging EU defense policy initiatives. You will navigate and interpret complex political dynamics across EU institutions, ensuring that timely and accurate insights are communicated to Nammo’s corporate head office. Furthermore, you will advocate and shape policy and legislative processes effectively for Nammo’s interests in EU policymaking processes, forging strategic coalitions and partnerships with key private and public EU stakeholders. In addition, you will serve as Nammo’s primary point of contact with NATO in Brussels. The role reports to SVP Business Development, and will cooperate closely with key functions and teams in Nammo ensuring close collaboration and coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Develop network within the EU political complex, the Commission, Parliament, Council and national MEPs, and with relevant public and private stakeholders
Monitor and relay information on key topics important for Nammo back to Head office and relevant parts of Nammo. Cooperate effectively across the group ensuring information sharing and varied Nammo input into EU positions
Position Nammo within EU programs such as EDIP, ASAP and EDF as well as the overarching EU strategies on defense, such as ReArm
Monitor political trends in EU and asses their potential impact for Nammo
Serve as the primary liaison between Nammo and the EU
Analyze proposed legislation and regulations to assess their implication for Nammo
Keep responsibility for submissions of policy consultations and industry submissions advocating for key policy impacts
When necessary and possible collaborate and initiate coalitions and stakeholders groups to advance common goals. Contribute to the companys communication strategies to communicate Nammo’s position on key issues
Skills and Qualifications
Required:
Relevant education within political science, public policy, business, law or other related fields
Solid experience from international business, international negotiations in a private or public context, EU affairs or similar
Understanding of the working processes of the EU and ability to effectively shape and contribute to the policy debate against commercial priorities
Excellent English proficiency, written and oral
Strong collaborative and cooperation skills, ability to work effectively across groups of stakeholders internally and externally serving Nammo’s mission
Preferred:
Strong business acumen with the ability to identify new opportunities, negotiate and influence stakeholders enabling commercial value and reducing commercial risk
Experience with establishing and effectively keeping a network and relationships with key political and governmental organizations
Strong understanding of political processes, legislative procedures and regulatory issues relevant to Nammo’s mission, and ability to impact those

The role is a full-time position
The position will be located in Brussels
Traveling is required
Please note that the position requires you to obtain security clearance from national security authorities at NATO level and provide a valid police certificate.
