Onshore (periodic, as required)

• Functions as a project assistant if necessary – typical for reviewing procedures, attending risk assessments etc.

• Attends DWOPs (Drill Well on Paper), conduct familiarization sessions with ROV/client/rig personnel at EDR workshop and other sites as needed

• Assist in the mobilization/demobilization of the Enhanced Drilling equipment, incl. assisting with Workshop tasks as required

Offshore

• EC-Drill Field Service Specialist shall assist in installation of EDR equipment at well-site and conduct and record all checks as required by EDR’s and/or client’s operational demands

• Ensure proper communication with colleagues and client’s representatives offshore and onshore

• Recognizing the operational status of EC drill system at well site and maintain when appropriate

• Operating EDR’s EC Drill systems, monitor and interpret critical drilling parameters and feed this back to EDR and the drilling team/client to enhance safety and success

• Provide advice and direction to drilling team/client and others as appropriate 

• Assist in undertaking required equipment checks ensuring safe and proper working condition and perform on-site maintenance when required

• Participate in meetings internal and external as requested or appropriate

• May be responsible for toolbox talks, Safe Job Analysis (SJA)/Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), make reports of incidents, equipment failure and other, reporting these as HSEQ/quality or maintenance cases into company incident/improvement reporting and tracking software (Synergi)

• Assist in the completion and submission required paperwork and reports

• Contributes to developing and continuously improving procedures

• Being updated on new processes and procedures associated with EC Drill

• Complete all necessary courses/training as required

• Stop work that implicates immediate danger to Enhanced Drilling personnel, equipment or the environment

Education  

• Bachelor degree within Drilling & Well, Instrumentation, Electrical or Mechanical

• Well Control Certification min level 2 – IWCF, IADC or equivalent

• Industry Drilling and MPD as well as drilling hydraulics modelling training preferred

Experience

• Min. 5 years of experience in drilling industry and/or offshore field operations

• Offshore experience as MPD Operator, Ass. Driller, LWD, MWD or Mudlogger

• Good mechanical aptitude

• Proven strong mathematical skills Computer skills within standard software required

• Previous experience with Computer based equipment control system

• Experience working with sophisticated technology

• Excellent oral and written communication skills in Norwegian and English

• Visual acuity and attention to detail to monitor multiple computer screens record logs and readouts for long periods of uninterrupted time
