Recruitment Officer | Crew Management

OSM Thome is experiencing growth, and we want to strengthen our team in one of our Norway locations; Arendal or Bergen, with a Recruitment Officer.

About the Position:

• The position is responsible for recruitment and selection of the right candidates and the management of the day-to-day activities towards the crew. Responsible for sourcing,  recruitment, compliance, campaigns, candidate pool, and systems data quality.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Source, recruit and select potential candidates using various platforms to reach the right audience

• Advertise vacancies appropriately on company website and social media

• Conduct interviews and assess if candidates have relevant skills, competencies, and experience

• Regular communication with candidates

• Check crew documents and certification and highlight training needs before the mobilisation

• Assist with other tasks as directed to ensure the operations run smoothly

Education:

• High School or equivalent education and/or documented experience from equivalent employment within the shipping industry

Skills and personal qualities:

• Previous experience in recruitment

• Experience working in the shipping industry

• Norwegian/Scandinavian and English proficiency, verbal and written

• Excellent customer service

• Good planning and organisation

• Great communication and time management

• Ability to adapt to change and flexibility
