Processes and Projects Advisor

If this sounds like you, Norwegian Hull Club has an exciting career opportunity at our head office in Bergen as a Processes and Projects Advisor.
The successful applicant will join dedicated colleagues committed to securing life, health, environment and property at one of the world’s largest marine and energy insurers.
This position – which can be filled immediately – is based at Norwegian Hull Club’s office at the landmark Skipet building in Solheimsviken.

Responsibilities and tasks
This is a multi-functional role, with the successful applicant needing to show a high level of flexibility as they effectively take on a variety of roles depending on the needs at any one time. We are seeking an individual who can help us identify business needs and challenges across the organization and to improve processes – someone with the experience and personality to be an effective ‘change agent’.
The successful applicant will act as a project manager across various types of projects, such as business-process improvements, regulatory-driven initiatives, insurance-market-driven changes, and other initiatives important to the club. In a digital product development they will use an agile approach acting as a product manager, or support a designated product manager from the organization.
The ability to swiftly accumulate a solid overview of our portfolio of digital products and tools will be crucial, as will the capacity to identify issues and how they can be remedied. The successful candidate will work closely with our IT daughter company, Instech Solutions, which supplies many of our digital products.This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, key role at The Club. With a confident approach and enthusiasm for collaborative projects, our preferred candidate will have what it takes to make a real, positive impact in our organization.
This position reports to the Head of Processes and Projects in Bergen.
Preferred qualifications and experience
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Experience with project management from initial phase to implementation, ideally from the IT or finance industries;
- Working knowledge of agile methodology, as well as experience with different project management and agile practices;
- At least a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in IT, Economics and Business Administration, or similar.

The successful applicant will be able to display:
- An ability to quickly understand business processes and identify potential for improvements;
- Problem-solving skills together with the ability to identify underlying issues;
- Qualities as a ‘people person’ – someone who can build positive relationships via their effective communication skills and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders;
- A willingness to learn and keenness to collaborate;
- Flexibility by being able to handle / prioritise multiple tasks in a structured manner;
- Excellent written and oral English and Norwegian language skills.
