At ABB Energy Industries Norway, we lead the way in enabling safe, smart, and sustainable projects across diverse sectors, including oil, gas, chemicals, renewable power (offshore wind and hydropower), sustainable fuels, and zero and low carbon hydrogen and its derivatives. We provide project and engineering services for integrated solutions that automate, digitalize, and electrify industries, contributing to operational efficiency, risk reduction, and sustainability.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Contract Manager, you will be working on impactful projects and large-scale contracts.

You will be part of our Northern European Hub Contract Management team. The team consists of Contract Managers with different backgrounds in law, finance and projects, with colleagues in Norway and other parts of Europe. You will be based at Fornebu, Norway, with possibility for home office (flexible workplace).

More about your role and responsibilities:

• Lead contract management in daily activities, actively covering commercial aspects as a trusted advisor to others in development, projects and sales

• Advise on contractual matters during the pre-award phase including tailoring new contracts

• Lead and/or participate in negotiations with customers, suppliers, and partners

• Provide support for changes and adjustments to contracts and frame agreements

• Manage and lead commercial activities throughout the pre-award phase of projects

• Coach and educate colleagues to raise competence and awareness on contractual and commercial matters.

Qualifications for the role

• A Legal degree at master’s level or higher education in Business, Finance, Engineering or Project Management, or equivalent experience in commercial issues.

• 5+ years’ experience from working with contractual and commercial aspects related to projects

• Understanding of and experience with contract management, procurement, and/or logistics

• An open-minded and solution-oriented mindset topped with a go-do approach

• Motivation for an outgoing role with dialogue and relations as key words

• Overview, including the ability to manage multiple parallel tasks and deadlines

• Strong communication skills. Languages English (fluent) and Scandinavian, written and spoken
