Data Analytics Engineer - Sonitor

We are looking for a skilled Data Analytics Engineer to join our Engineering team working with real-time location technologies.

Sonitor Technologies, an internationally recognized leader in Real Time Location Systems (RTLS), is now hiring for an exciting position in Oslo, Norway.

About the role

As a Data Analytics Engineer, you will work with advanced data flow and analytics solutions related to real-time location data. You will help build, monitor, and improve our data infrastructure, including applying machine learning to detect anomalies and enhance system performance.

You will collaborate closely with backend developers, cloud architects, and data scientists in a cross-functional, agile team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust data pipelines for both batch and streaming processing.

• Implement and enhance monitoring and data quality validation systems.

• Design and train anomaly detection models based on location and sensor data.

• Work closely with engineering teams to integrate data flows into production environments.

• Contribute to cloud infrastructure design (GCP, AWS, or Azure) using tools like Terraform.

• Implement and maintain CI/CD practices for data engineering solutions.
  

We are looking for someone who:

• Has 3+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering.

• Understands cloud infrastructure and data storage solutions (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, AWS Redshift).

• Is proficient in Python, and optionally Kotlin or Java.

• Has experience applying machine learning techniques to time-series or streaming data.

Nice to have:

• Experience with location data, RTLS, or BLE-based positioning systems.

• Familiarity with ML Ops practices such as model versioning and monitoring.

• Hands-on experience designing and deploying anomaly detection models.
