A beautiful bead Necklace from the Gems of Distinction Collection, set in 925 Silver and featuring 35cts of amazing natural Rhodolite Garnet from Africa. Garnet is the Birthstone for January. The name originates from the medieval Latin granatus, meaning pomegranate. According to Indian Astrology Garnet helps eliminate negative feelings (depression, guilt) and instill greater self-confidence and mental clarity to promote creative thinking and peace of mind. Rhodolite is a mixture of pyrope and almandite garnets. The colour ranges from pinkish purple to reddish purple. The name is derived from the Greek rhodon (rose) and lithos (stone). With a MOH hardness rating of 7-7.5 it makes them durable stones for any type of jewellery setting.
