At 13 years old, Red Szell became fascinated with climbing and made it his life's ambition to climb the Old Man of Hoy, a 450 foot sea stack off of Scotland's north coast. Those dreams went dark at nineteen when he learned he was going blind. Red hung up his harness for twenty years, until one day he shared his old, unforgotten, dream with his buddies, Matthew and Andres, and it became obvious that an attempt should be made. With the help of mountain guides Martin Moran and Nick Carter, and adventure cameraman Keith Partridge, supported by family and an ever growing following, Red set out to coenfront the Orcadian giant.
