NOV Completion Tools has an opening for a Technician at our facility in Forus, Stavanger. You will join a team of Technicians and Service Engineers working with our downhole well Completion and Intervention tools product portfolio. As a Technician you will take ownership of multiple projects, where you will interact with our sales, engineering and supply chain departments. The work includes assembling, testing, preparing documentation and operating tools. The successful candidate will report directly to the Workshop Supervisor and work with a dedicated operations team. We are looking for a candidate that has worked with mechanical aspects of completion and intervention activities, and is focused on safety and a high degree of quality in everything that is done. This is an onshore position. 

Your Responsibilities:

• Adhere to company and customer QHSE standards at all times.
• Build, assemble, and test downhole well completion and intervention equipment.
• Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Prepare and complete required documentation accurately.
• Perform general workshop tasks with attention to detail.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Strong mechanical skills with experience in industries such as car mechanics, industrial mechanics, or similar.
• Knowledge of downhole well completion and intervention applications is preferred.
• Trade certificate, preferably in a Well or mechanical-related field.
• Experience with Lower and Upper Completion equipment is a plus.
• Technical writing and oral communication skills in Norwegian and English.
• Forklift and overhead crane certificates is a plus.
• Proactive and eager to learn and evolve.
• Good organizational and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently when needed.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals, primarily in English.
