HSEQ MANAGER

You are knowledgeable and solution-oriented, capable of effectively communicating and engaging the entire organization regarding HSEQ as a key driver in a convincing manner.

In accordance with local regulations and Air Liquide standards for health, safety, environment, and quality,
our new HSEQ Manager will have the following responsibilities:

• Actively promote a safety culture among our operational, commercial, and project teams, as well as customers.
• Establish and execute an annual HSEQ plan and assist local leaders with the implementation of relevant IMS (Integrated Management System) processes.
• Provide advice on necessary changes and potential resource allocations related to the HSEQ area.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and standards, including the evaluation and implementation of necessary changes.
• You are expected to develop HSEQ plan(s) and deliver monthly HSEQ reporting, including Job Hazard Analysis.
• The HSEQ Manager shall oversee ongoing operations and projects and intervene where safety rules are not adequately implemented to ensure compliance with HSEQ management rules and procedures.
• Manage and monitor processes related to the implementation of IMS and continuous improvement of unit activities.
• Conduct HSEQ inspections and self-assessments.
• Support operational teams in the field regarding questions related to Job Hazard Analysis and rule implementation.
• If an incident occurs, conduct a root cause analysis, and provide feedback to the involved parties.
• Monitor the effectiveness of safety measures, including necessary reporting of HSEQ activities, including incident/deviation reporting.

Qualifications: 

• Formal background: Minimum Bachelor’s level (Chemical, Process, Safety, or Energy Engineering).
• Minimum 5-10 years of relevant work experience in HSEQ management roles, preferably in the chemical or energy sector.
• Experience with Management Systems (ISO 45001/14001/9001).
• Experience in conducting audits (e.g., DSB, Seveso).
• Knowledge of regulations regarding gas, transport of hazardous goods, environment, process risk management, and HSEQ regulations.
• Job Hazard Analysis.
• Management systems (IMS, Bluebook).
• Experience with problem-solving methodologies.

Language:

• Fluent in Scandinavian and English, both orally and written.
