Maritime Robotics is experiencing increasing demand for our products and services. We therefore need a new colleague to strengthen our team, which already consists 75 highly engaged and competent people.

We are looking for a skilled mechanical design engineer who is a good team player and understands the value of good collaboration both internally, with suppliers and customers. 

 

Typical tasks in the job as Mechanical engineer in Maritime Robotics: 

  • Mechanical engineering tasks related to maintenance and development of our USV fleet portfolio.
  • Custom design and prototyping of mechanical and electromechanical systems required on or in addition to our USVs.
  • Creating 3D models and drawings with SolidWorks.
  • Follow up and close cooperation with our internal assembly and integration department located in Vanvikan, supply chain department and external suppliers and subcontractors.
  • BOM and part management.
  • Inspection and testing of mechanical parts and assemblies.
  • Create, review and approve documentation such as drawings, schematics, specifications, reports and procedures.
  • Contribute in all phases of product development and construction from study and early concept phase to fabrication and product testing.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of products and internal processes.

 

Qualifications:

  • BSc or MSc in mechanical engineering or similar
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably from the maritime industry.
  • Experienced with creating 3d models and drawings in CAD software, preferably Solidworks.
  • Familiar with structural simulations, static and dynamic.
  • Good multidisciplinary understanding
  • Familiar with different fabrication methods
  • Familiar with performing material selection and evaluating corrosion systems
