As a Senior Compliance Monitoring Manager, you will play a central role in maintaining our impeccable track record.

Reporting directly to Accountable Manager, you will monitor compliance ensuring adherence to EASA Basic regulation, including Part-ORO, Part-ORA, Part-CAMO, Part-145 and Part GH.OPS In Norwegian we keep on taking care of our people.

You are our ideal candidate if:

  • You have a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Aviation / Business desirable.
  • You have minimum 5 + years of experience in a senior management role within the airline industry.
  • You have proven leadership skill to manage a remote workforce and executing performance management and development.
  • You have at least 5 years quality related experience in Operation, Maintenance or Production (EASA or AS9100) organization, or equivalent.
  • You are Certified Lead auditor (IRCA / AS9100/ ISO19011) with minimum 5 + years' experience as Lead.
  • You have experience as auditor within EASA regulatory requirements.
  • You have experience in stakeholder relationships and the ability to influence and make change.
  • You have strong business acumen and experience in developing lean processes and change management in complex environments.
  • You have experience in budget forecasting and control.
  • You have analytical reasoning skills related to process and value chain systems.
  • You have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with individuals and groups, ensuring effective flow of information in terms of awareness and understanding.
  • You have ability to work effectively with peers and other business.


In this role you will be responsible for:

The Compliance Monitoring Manager remains responsible to ensure and control that all personnel carrying out audits, inspections or issuing release certificates, including any external auditors working within our approvals; are appropriately assessed and authorized to the activities within our approvals, and having the knowledge and experience in compliance monitoring/auditing skills. Authorizations are valid for 2 years, and can be renewed, amended to include or remove additional scope or suspended, removed or revoked by the Compliance Monitoring Manager.

You will:

  • Managing the budgets associated within the department.
  • Be responsible for monitoring that the activities of the Operator pertinent to the approvals are in compliance with the applicable regulatory requirements, and any additional requirements as established by the Operator.
  • Monitoring that the activities are carried out properly under the supervision of the relevant head of functional area.
  • Be responsible for establishing and execute a robust monitoring and auditing program to assess compliance with policies and regulations, covering all relevant approvals and adherent requirements and ensure that the program is maintained, continually reviewed and improved.
  • Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance or identify areas of non-compliance.
  • Ensure that allocation of time and resources for training in relation to compliance monitoring is tailed of time and resources to the Operator's size and complexity.
  • Be responsible to allocate authorized staff to comply with Compliance Monitoring Program accepted by the Authorities.
  • Liaise with aviation authorities on regulatory matters and organizational approval/compliance matters. Build relationships with regulatory agencies, industry associations, and other external stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and benchmark against peers.
  • Ensure any audits carried out by external auditors identify any concerns or findings and the evidence necessary to substantiate such concerns or findings.
  • Ensure that root cause, corrective actions and preventive actions submitted by the auditee sufficiently address the area of non-compliance.
  • Ensure any audits carried out by external auditors verify the implementation of solutions with specific timescales.
  • Ensure corrective action closure recommendation are reviewed, accept or reject and the decisions are communicated to the auditor and auditee.
  • Be responsible for fostering a culture of compliance throughout the organization, including overseeing the company's Safety, Security and Compliance assurance policies.
  • Be responsible for independent review and amend NOA Maintenance Capability List
  • Be responsible for approving or reject any concessions required for any deviation to procedure or requirement or pertaining to staff training/authorization.
  • Ensure that investigations and implementation of corrective and preventive actions relating to audit findings are closed in an adequate and appropriate manger.
  • Provide compliance monitoring surveillance of contracted and subcontracted activities.
  • Monitor audit findings for adverse trends and risks, and report findings to responsible department managers, Nominated Person, or the Accountable Manager.
  • Be responsible for reporting analysis of trends, repetitive findings, and concerns in monthly SRB/CRB meetings, and thereby an independent assessment of effectiveness of processes for following up corrective and preventive actions.
  • Regularly review and update compliance programs in response to changing regulations and organizational needs.
  • Seek feedback and assess the effectiveness of compliance initiatives, making improvements as necessary.
  • Be responsible for maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of compliance activities
