To be able to distribute our annual turnover of 1,5 billion NOK into hundreds of projects in over 20 different country offices, thematic areas, and currencies, we need strong systems, routines, and controls. And this is where you come in:

As our new senior controller, you will be based in the Finance Department, in the Financial Performence and Control division (FPC), in Oslo. In this role, you will be a focal point for finance related topics, work closely with some of our country offices, and be a part of developing strong processes within NCA and with our partners.

If your IT skills are above average, you have a big advantage here, but we still want you to apply if you're average (like most of us).

  • You have 2-4 years or more work experience in either financial controlling, business controlling, auditing or equivalent
  • We'd love it if your IT skills are above average, but this is not a prerequisite (we use Maconomy, PIMS, Tableau, Salesforce, 365, Power BI, SAP, but you might be fluent in one of the others)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Desirable but not mandatory:

  • Experience with the humanitarian or development sector
  • Working knowledge of Norwegian, French ore Arabic

Personal qualities:

  • Have an analytical eye, identify connections others might not see, act proactively to find solutions
  • Be able to listen and build trust, while at the same time establish a clear direction and motivate others
  • Be open, curious, and not afraid to ask questions
  • Like a mess, because you can clean it up and organize it in systems

We offer:

  • Independent work in a highly meaningful job
  • A friendly and pleasant global work community in central Oslo with engaged and supportive colleagues
  • Autonomy over your own workday in an organization with great flexibility
  • Possibility to gain unique geographic experience working in countries and communities that are off the common travel trail
  • 37,5 hour/week worktime incl. lunch (summer time 35 hours/week and winter time 38,75 hours/week)
  • A workplace with organized non-work activities (work-out, hiking, skiing, climbing, culture)
  • Paid overtime, flexible working hours
