Denne fascinerende serien av fotografier, inspirert av René Magrittes ikoniske verk “Ceci n’est pas une pipe,” utforsker konseptet om identitet og personlige valg. De surrealistiske bildene viser livløse objekter som svever over ulike antrekk, symboliserer våre tanker, drømmer, ønsker og hverdagsopplevelser. Juxtaposisjonen inviterer betrakteren til å reflektere over samspillet mellom det håndgripelige og det immaterielle, og visker ut grensene mellom virkelighet og fantasi.
Født i 1971, Miguel Vallinas gjennomgikk opplæring ved School of Photography and Cinema (EFTI) i Madrid før han startet sin frilanskarriere og arbeidet med kunstprosjekter som gjorde det mulig for ham å stille ut internasjonalt. Etter Pieles og Segundas Pieles, er samlingen This Is Not det nyeste kapittelet i hans serie om dekonstruksjonen av den menneskelige kroppen og identiteten. This intriguing series of photographs, inspired by René Magritte’s iconic “Ceci n’est pas une pipe,” delves into the concept of identity and personal choices. The surreal imagery features inanimate objects suspended above diverse outfits, symbolizing our thoughts, dreams, desires, and everyday experiences. The juxtaposition invites viewers to contemplate the interplay between the tangible and the intangible, blurring the boundaries of reality and imagination.
Born in 1971, Miguel Vallinas trained at the School of Photography and Cinema (EFTI) in Madrid before launching his freelance career and undertaking art projects that enabled him to exhibit internationally. After Pieles and Segundas Pieles, the collection This Is Not is the latest chapter to complete his series on the deconstruction of the human body and identity. It is reminiscent of the surrealist world of Belgian painter René Magritte, which also played on the perception and expectations of the spectator by creating visual games and double meanings.

I was informed by the framers that a small crease occurred in one of the corners. However, it is hidden behind the mount and therefore not visible.
