We are looking for an Industrial Engineer to be based in Oslo.

Alstom is the biggest supplier of trains in Norway with roots going back 100 years. Approximately 1/3 of Norway's total fleet of passenger trains (approx. 250 trains) are produced by Alstom. The enrolment of Alstom's onboard ERTMS system on approximately 380 trains will contribute to making the Norwegian railway network more efficient and reliable, reducing delays for passengers and freight services while guaranteeing the highest levels of safety.


What will you do?

As an Industrial Engineer, you will be responsible From First of Class till the serial phase to applying industrial standards on products and performing continuous improvement on production lines in order to increase QCD (Quality, Cost and Delay) manufacturing productivity


Your key responsibilities:

Concurrent Engineering:

  • Contributes during specification and design phases to technical solution decisions, participation in Technical Design Review (DR)
  • Review during the design phase of installation documentation (Electrical documentation, Installation Procedure )
  • Manage/follow the achievement of the First of Class in the respect of the industrial rules, and the QCD requirements

Industrialization:

  • Define requirements and rules for associated tooling necessary to start production

Execution / Serial manufacturing:

  • Support Sourcing and Supplier Quality teams during quality crisis

Who are you?

  • Engineering degree in process engineering, electronics, electrical or mechanical
  • 5 years of experience in industrial method
  • Practice the concerned special process for 2 to 5 years (execution, definition, qualification)
  • Good teaching skills (able to provide training to a group of trainees)
  • Innovative, and participative in business workgroups
  • Being fluent in English and Very good in any Scandinavian language will be a plus.


As a person you have a well-organized mindset, you are rigorous, structured and able to work both autonomously and proactively with your projects. You have excellent team working and communication skills, as well as the ability to adapt to a multicultural environment.
