We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our team at Aanderaa. As our SCM, you will be taking ownership of the supply chain process, both strategical and operational, ensuring that all functions within the supply chain are optimized to achieve our business goals. You will manage a small team of supply chain professionals. We offer a supportive work environment where employees have the opportunity to make a real impact. By being part of both Aanderaa and Xylem, employees can enjoy the best of both worlds: the agility and flexibility of a small company, combined with the resources and support of a larger organization. This creates a unique and rewarding work environment that allows employees to grow and thrive both personally and professionally. If you have a passion for supply chain management, are commercially minded, and have strong communication skills, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

As the manager of the procurement department, your daily responsibilities would include:

  • Maintain and further develop current and new suppliers according to Aanderaa’s needs and requirements.
  • Establish, evaluate and develop all agreements with external suppliers.
  • Ensure that operations are running smoothly and efficiently in accordance with Lean philosophy / Continues improvement.
  • Communicate with Xylem's purchasing organization in Switzerland and coordinate central activities with site activity.
  • Overall responsibility for capital tied up and turnover rate of inventories to minimize working capital.
  • Managing non-conformity issues with suppliers and working to resolve them in a timely and effective manner.
  • Ensuring that the department is proficient in the use of the company's ERP system and that it is updated on the latest procurement technologies and practices.
  • Ensure that supplier evaluation is carried out, in accordance with internal / ISO or ATEX requirements and follow-up of report.

Overall, your role as the manager of the procurement department is to ensure that Aanderaa can exploit the potential in the supplier market in a commercially good and profitable way, while maintaining good communication with internal and external stakeholders, develop and implement procurement strategies, and ensure that the department follows best practices and company’s HSE laws/rules. The position is part of the management team at Aanderaa.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Higher Degree in a relevant field, preferably in Procurement, Logistic or Supply Chain Management.
  • Good experience in supply chain management, with a focus on both strategic and operational aspects. Preferably experience from a relatable industry and/or technical field.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Norwegian.
  • Good knowledge of LEAN / Continues improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of the supply chain process.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Good work capacity and solution-oriented attitude.
  • Commercial interest and understanding.
  • Knowledge of the global supplier market.
