Risk Management Specialist – BMW Norway

As one of Europe’s largest providers of specialist automotive expertise, AMS has around 70 employees in a number of markets. An opportunity has arisen in our BMW and MINI support team in Norway.

With experience working in the automotive or financial industries, you are already familiar with processing and analyzing complex data, and get great satisfaction from deriving conclusions and recommending measures from your data analysis. You will have a university degree, probably in Business or Economics, you are self-motivated, results-driven and have a strong attention to detail.

You enjoy the international mindset and grasp the big picture where you will have daily contact with different stakeholders within the Group and within the different business lines. In the Nordic Risk Team, you will have the opportunity to travel frequently in the region.

Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer in BMW Financial Services Northern Europe, living in Norway and being a native language speaker are essential, and it is essential to be able to communicate and present enthusiastically and effectively, and, when necessary, speak and write in English.

Your main responsibilities will be within Residual Value Setting where you will be responsible for:

• Proactively managing RV risks and setting risk parameters in accordance with both economic projections and the risk strategy of the business
• Assuring that residual value risks are anticipated, identified, analyzed and communicated appropriately within the company as well as in the central functions
• Ensuring compliance with local and regional regulations.

A typical day

You will be the ‘Go-To’ person for other risk management related questions and projects, and you will be the main driver for implementing and further developing regional risk management initiatives in the Norwegian market. You will work closely with regional Risk Managers as well as central counterparts from BMW HQ in Munich.

Within this role, your focus will be on:

• Data analytics
• Regular evaluations of risk bearing portfolios
• Reporting to internal and external stakeholder
• Testing of set residual values
• Pro-active risk analysis of leasing portfolios
• Leading and initiating measures, as well as many more exciting topics.
